Felsing Public Relations, LLC
About Sam Felsing
I am a freelance writer, communications specialist, and political consultant in the San Francisco Bay Area. I split my time between being Director of Communications for Community Living Campaign - which advocates for seniors and people with disabilities - and my freelance practice.

As a political consultant, I have provided social media, direct mail, video, and earned media for candidates, initiatives, and independent expenditure campaigns. Before freelancing, I worked for seven years for renowned political consultant Jim Ross at his firm, Telegraph, LLC. Some of my portfolio work on this site comes from my time at Telegraph.

I have also provided public relations and media relations services for several corporate and public advocacy entities. I have a knack for pitching media outlets and have successfully arranged interviews for clients in various print, internet, and television outlets --- including the Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Business Insider, Crain's New York, VentureBeat, PandoDaily, Bond Buyer, the San Francisco Chronicle, Univision, Telemundo, KCBS Radio, KGO Radio, KTVU, and Press:Here, among others.

I have an eclectic writing background. My work has been published in Macworld, Techhive, Houston Innovation Map, EdSource, Oakland Local, and the Western Edition. I was previously the City Editor for the Alameda Sun. I am also a grant writer looking for more opportunities in that field.

I graduated from the University of Redlands with a B.A. in English: Writing and a minor in Government. I also hold a Certificate in Grant Writing from San Diego State University.
